- How I feel about this character:
- Love love love. The princess of my Noragami heart. I like that even though she is not trained to fight, she will charge in any way. She doesn’t take people’s crap and she refuses to give up, even in the worst of times. But she’s also kind, generous, and forgiving. She’s a well-rounded person whose insecurities are realistic and easy to relate to, and I find both her patience and her drive to help others to be very admirable.
- All the people I ship romantically with this character:
- Only Yato, really. Her actions with the other characters have been somewhat limited, so it’s a bit harder for me to imagine her paired off with them.
- My non-romantic OTP for this character:
- I actually really like it when Hiyori and Tenjin interact? I feel like grandparent-grandchild feeling relationships get quite neglected in manga, so I like their dynamic. I also really want Hiyori to become better friends with Bishamon. I feel like Bishamon could really use a female voice of reason to help her gain a little more perspective on the world.
- My unpopular opinion about this character:
- Again, I probably don’t have one? Um… I’m not really enamoured of her future career choice? I think there are other more suitable jobs she could have looked into, I guess. Her choice is definitely noble, but it also feels like… giving up a part of herself, her wild side, in a way?
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
- I wish someone at Kamuhakari had mistaken her for Yato’s shinki and she’d been forced to make up a fake vessel and given name with -ne at the end. Also I wish her brother started messing with her by spreading rumors to their parents that Hiyori is dating a homeless bum. XDDD

- Again, never really thought of one, but thinking of it now, I think it would be really cute to see Hiyori interact with Mikorin from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Mikorin trying to work up the nerve to talk to a girl who could suplex him, roflllll. And Hiyori has already built up a strong tolerance for socially awkward boys. XD
- a headcanon fact:
- Hiyori has a hard time passing by shrines now without stopping for at least a second to pay respects, seeing as she knows how much that kind of thing means to the gods. Her friends and family are all extremely confused by her sudden increase in religiosity.
