I really do like Yukine, although I think sometimes he gets eclipsed for me as I get distracted by the jabillions of other characters in this manga… Don’t worry Yukine, you have a special place in my heart. I want and don’t want to see Yukine’s past. Also, I want Yukine to evolve again! Go beyond hafuri tiny bby!! At least get hilts on your sword form, maybe??? XD I think Yukine’s ability to hold down the fort and help balance Yato out is so impressive. How many fourteen-year-old boys do you know with a part-time job putting food on the table for their dads???

They haven’t even met and I already ship him with Nana. I can’t wait for the “Psshhhh, you don’t impress me!!” tsuntsun games to begin. ~~At least I hope please please please that this will become a thing lolol~~

Yato and Yukine are inseparable to me. I don’t ship Yatone (although if you do, we’re definitely still cool!) but I do view them as completely invaluable to each other. Yato absolutely needs Yukine to thrive, and I can’t imagine what Yato would be at this point in the story if he had never met Yukine. Actually he’d probably just be dead. Also, I kind of hope Hiiro gets a redemption arc and she and Yukine become more friendly to each other. They really have a lot of similarities in their willingness to do whatever it takes to protect their given masters.

Would not shipping Yatone count for this? Um… Yeah, that’s about all I got. My opinions are apparently all too mainstream. XD Oh wait, maybe this would be unpopular: I think that Yukine isn’t putting forth enough effort to make friends with people in Takamagahara. Bishamon still has a ton of shinki, and yet Yukine interacts almost solely with Kazuma. He could have a lot of other friends by now? Maybe he’s still not ready for friends after what happened to Suzuha, but still, I’d like to see him interact with more children his age–namely those who won’t forget him afterwards. T^T

I desperately want a Kazuma apologizes sincerely to Yukine scene coming up, and a serious treatment looking into whether or not Yukine will be able to forgive Kazuma. Also, like I said, I feel like Yukine is due for some new form of power up. Time for smol son to take another level in badass, let’s hussle!

Yukine and Hana from Gate 7 would be funny to see together. Or maybe Yukine and Ryuu-ou from RG Veda?

Yukine is mixed race and his blond hair and light eyes are natural. His mother and sister may have moved back to his mother’s home country, leaving Yukine behind with his father? Maybe? Just my thoughts on what the backstory might be.
