What do you think the purpose of the first chapter is in the Noragami narrative?

If I’m recalling my manga industry information correctly, I believe that many manga from new artists get their starts through competitions or pitches submitted during open submission periods to comic publishing companies in Japan, but Adachitoka probably had a bit of an advantage in getting Noragami accepted, given they already had a good track record …

A random thought I had what if the final “boss” Of Noragami turns out to be not father, but Izanagi. And the guy who set up the Shinto system was the worst Child abuser of them all? (Ebisu and Kagatsuchi could vouch for Izanagi’s propensities) Would that change your thoughts on the Tsukiyomi Theory? I admit I don’t have much to support it. Just I think that in a series that deals with child abuse as seriously as this one. It’s weird that Izanagi would fall off the radar like he does in myth.

Gonna answer two asks in one here, since they’re both about the Tsukuyomi theory.I’ve toyed around with the idea of Father being Izanagi for a while–there are definitely some connections there:1) “Father” as a name and a role in the story; as far as dads go in Japanese mythology, Izanagi is definitely the most well-known.2) …

Hello, did you ever end up making any post about Noragami chapter 73? Also, about are your thoughts about Hiyori in this arc, because in the last arc she barely appeared (obviously cuz of the fights) and I’m starting to worry that she’s gonna become a protagonist that’s only there to be protected (you know that thing “if you do something to her I will run the world after you”). She used to appear must more and even getting some importance, now she is just there to be Yato’s safeplace/love affair

This turned into “Some Thoughts on Hiyori” lolSo a couple people asked about my view of Hiyori’s role in the story currently and in the future, and I have a lot of feelings about this, so…First and foremost, I absolutely want to banish the notion that Hiyori is becoming somehow less important because she hasn’t …

No worries! It’s not your fault and I was going to ask earlier but it just didn’t happen. What I said was that I just assumed Amaterasu was reincarnated, because of Take and Ebisu actually seemed to become children after they died and which I base on interactions with other characters etc (plus that Kofuku said that Daikoku could take care of her as his own child if she ever reincarnated)

This does make sense, and I agree it is pretty odd that she takes the form of a young girl if she isn’t recently reincarnated. If she is recently reincarnated, that’s quite scary–because who was able to get into the heavens to assassinate/force her to reincarnate without raising any fuss? If it’s her own shinki, …

Hi, Noragami thoughts about Amaterasu here! Everyone seems to think she’s one of the bad guys but I’m not completely sure about that. Her actions in the story contradicts each other. From hiding and helping the gang in the yomi arc to sealing Yukine inside that box etc. She’s newly reincarnated and I doubt that is was by accident. I just don’t think her role is so black and white. What do you think?

This is such a great ask! I don’t feel like I’m going to be able to give this ask the full amount of time it deserves because I’m so busy currently, but I’ll try to say something worth reading for right now and hopefully I can come back to this topic later too.Answer’s under a …

I don’t know if you are still in Noragami but I want to know something. How do you think that Take’s new shinkis would react if they know the truth behind their master”s behavior and past? (Yes the published manga are in chapter 66 in France, so I’m in Take’s hell again)

Yes! I am still in the Noragami fandom; it’s just been a bit hard to focus on the series with how long the hiatus has been. D;This is actually a really awesome question, and I’ll answer it under this cut:In terms of the new shinki, I assume we’re only talking about Miun, Kaun, and Saiun, …

About Mayu: I agree with you that she totally had the right to leave Yato, but she didn’t have to call him a loser when she did it.

I think this is a case of us, as the audience, being more sympathetic to Yato because of what we know about him. To us, who know that Yato struggled with a harsh past, has trouble with his father, and really does want to become a good person but doesn’t always know how, it’s easy …
